Breakfast and departure towards the Kisil Koum desert (Red Sands) to visit Ayaz-kala and Touprak-kala sites.
On the territory of the Ellikkala district (Republic of Karakalpakstan) there are more than 200 ancient fortresses, the most famous of which are Ayaz-kala or Touprak-kala. The ingenuity and dimensions of these constructions bring them closer to the Egyptian pyramids. Throughout the territory of ancient Khârezm, more than 1,000 ancient fortresses have been found, most of which have not yet been studied.
The civilization of ancient Khârezm was born in the middle of the 2nd millennium BC. Fed by the glaciers of the Pamirs, the great Amu River carried its waters several hundred kilometers to irrigate an oasis with fertile soils near its estuary . Agriculture linked to the great floods of the river, the coastline of the Aral Sea rich in game and fish, and limitless meadows brought together all the conditions for the birth of a unique civilization which left astonishing monuments – lost cities and immense fortresses.

Day 4: Khiva-Bukhara

Breakfast and departure for Bukhara. Crossing the Kisil Koum desert (Red Sands).
Picnic on the way. Arrival late in the afternoon. Installation at the hotel.
First discovery of the city; the Labi Khauze ensemble: Koukaldach madrassa 16th century, Nadir Devan Beghi madrassa and khanaka 17th century. Dinner at Tchaykhana Labi Khause.

Day 5: Bukhara the Holy

This city is located in the Zerafshan Valley. It has always kept its authentic charm. It was one of the important cities of the Silk Road, where all the traders rushed to sell their goods, especially carpets and jewelry. Although Islam originated elsewhere, it was Bukhara that was the center of development of this religion. The city is home to hundreds of Islamic schools, madrasas, and as many mosques and tombs of saints. The historical monuments take us back to the medieval period and even well before: The ark (the citadel) I-IVth century, the whole of Poï-Kalian 15th-16th century, Kosh madrasa of Oulougbek and Abdoulaziz Khan 15th-17th century, the whole of Liabi-Khauz 16th-17th century.

Day 6: Bukhara

Breakfast and visit outside the city: the “Bahoutdin Naqchbandi” necropolis, a very important place of pilgrimage for Muslims, the summer palace of the last Emir of Bukhara “Sitorai Mohi Hossa” and the “Tchor Bakr” necropolis.
Free time in the afternoon.

Day 7: Bukhara – Samarkand (280 km) 

After breakfast departure to Samarkand.
On the road visit the ceramist workshop in Guijduvan.
Continuation of the road to Samarkand and stop in the village of Yangiabad to share unforgettable moments with the local population.
Arrival and installation in a typical village house. Warm welcome by the locals.
There is the possibility of seeing and witnessing the preparation of typical dishes of the region.

Day 8: Samarkand 

Samarkand was the main city of ancient Sogdiana, capital of Tamerlane. It prospered at the crossroads of the great trade routes coming from China, Siberia, Persia and the West. It was prosperous until the surge of the Mongol hordes of Genghis Khan who destroyed the city. Samarkand’s hour of glory came two centuries later, when Timur made it the capital of his empire.
The marvelous madrasas of Place du Régistan (15th-17th century) decorated with dazzling earthenware describe the multiple influences which will mark the evolution of Timurid architecture. The mausoleum of Roukhabad and the Gour-Emir, tomb of the great conqueror which preserves the remains of Timur, his sons and his grandsons. Lunch during the visit.

Day 9: Samarkand

Continuation of the visit to Samarkand: the famous Bibi Khanum mosque, the Shakhi-Zinda mausoleum, the Ulugbek Observatory and the Samarkand history museum “Afrosiab”.

Day 10: Samarkand – Shakhrisabz – Darbent 

Breakfast and departure for Darbent. On the road visit Shakhrisabz, birthplace of Timur Beg (Tamerlane).
Crossing the Zérafshan mountains, foothills of Pamir. Stop at the Takhtakaracha pass at 1680 m altitude. Discovery of magnificent mountain landscapes.
Visit to the remains of the White Palace (Ak Saray), summer residence of Timur, Darut Saodat complex, mausoleum of the descendants of Timur and Darut Tilovat ensemble with the Kok Goumbaz mosque, Friday mosque of Shakhrisabz. Continuation of the road to Darbent.
Arrival and settling in with the locals.
Night at a local’s place.

Day 11: Darbent – Boysun – Termez

Breakfast and departure for Termez via Boysun.
Boysun is one of the most beautiful regions of the country located in the Guissar Mountains. Arrival in Boysun, walk in the village and discovery of the magnificent landscapes.
Lunch and departure for Termez.

Day 12: Finish

Termez is one of the oldest cities in Central Asia.
Visit to Termez: the mausoleum of Sultan Saadat from the 11th and 12th centuries, the Djakurgan minaret from the 12th century, the mausoleum of Al-Hakim-At-Termezy from the 11th century and the Kirk-Kiz castle, Fayaz Tépé complex from the 1st century . the remains of an ancient Buddhist monastery and temple with part of the stupa next to it.

Day 13: Termez- Tashkent 

Transfer to Termez airport and flight to Tashkent. Arrival and installation at the hotel.
City tour: the Barakhan madrasa, the Hasti Imam complex, the Thorsu bazaar, the Koukeldash madrasa (16th century).

Day 14: Tashkent

Free morning. Lunch and transfer to the airport for the international flight.
