Stages: Denpasar – Umalas – Pemuteran – Ubud – Sidemen – Amed

Day 1: Denpasar – Umalas

As the Balinese would say: SELAMAT PAGI, WELCOME!
Arrival at Denpasar airport where your driver will be waiting for you.
Transfer to your hotel. Installation and night at the VILLA MATHIS hotel.

Day 2: Umalas Breakfast at the hotel.

Free day to enjoy the captivating setting of your hotel.
At the end of the day, a candlelit dinner will be served to you in a romantic setting, in the heart of one of the hotel’s tropical gardens.

Day 3: Umalas

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for a day full of emotions! You will leave Sanur by speed boat to Nusa Lembongan. Arrival on a white sand beach where you can choose your equipment before discovering the treasures of the ocean. Three snorkeling spots are planned on the program, if you are lucky you may even encounter Manta rays. Return to the beach for lunch with your feet in the water. After lunch we offer you a short 20-minute canoe tour in the mangrove. Around 4 p.m. boarding and return to the port of Sanur by speed boat. This “Robinson Crusoe” day is a unique opportunity to discover a paradise island, its fauna, its flora and its inhabitants in a more authentic way.
Night at VILLA MATHIS.

Day 4: Umalas – Pemuteran

Breakfast and transfer to reach Pemuteran in the west of the island.
Along the way you will make different stops: the Taman Ayun temple (considered one of the most beautiful Hindu temples in Bali), the eleven-roofed pagoda dedicated to Shanghyang Widi, the Pura Luhur Batukaru temple (located in the dense jungle near from the summit of Gunung Batukaru, the second highest mountain in Bali), the temple of Ulun Danu which floats in the middle of Lake Bratan…
Finally, if time permits you can stop at a market like that of Candi Kunin in Bedugul: it is known for selling fresh fruits (like “Jeruk”, pomelo and durian), vegetables, spices and exotic flowers such as delicate orchids and roses, creating a stunning color palette. At the end of the day you will arrive in the Pemuteran region, where you will settle into the hotel.

Day 5: Pemuteran

Breakfast. Free day to rest or enjoy your hotel.
Different activities are also possible in the heart of this region, such as: a walk in the Bali Barat national park or a canoe trip in the mangroves!

Day 6: Pemuteran

Breakfast at the hotel. Snorkeling day on the island of Menjangan.
Discover the north of Bali, the best preserved part of Bali with the island of Menjangan.
Menjangan is famous for its enormous gorgonians, the waters around Menjangan are also known for surgeon fish, angel fish, moray eels, scorpionfish, blue spotted stingrays, turtles and many other tropical fish.
Return to the hotel in the afternoon.

Day 7: Pemuteran – Ubud

Breakfast at the hotel. Road to reach the cultural center of Bali: Ubud.
Along the way we planned various stops.
You will start with the Beji temple on the north coast of the island.
You will continue through Kintamani: a former administrative capital under the Dutch occupation, it was once an important crossing point for travelers coming from Surabaya or Singapore. From now on, Batur and Kintamani form one and the same municipality. From Kintamani, you will have stunning views of the Danau Batur caldera lake.
At the village of Penulisan, north of Kintamani, you will have a beautiful view of the crater and can see the highest temple in Bali at 1745 meters, Pura Tegeh Koripan.
Along the way you will have the opportunity to see different traditional villages.
Arrival in Ubud and overnight at the RETREAT MATHIS hotel

Day 8: Ubud

Breakfast at the hotel. Free day to enjoy the heavenly setting of your hotel or the city of Ubud. A day to soak up the gentle Balinese way of life. Relaxing at the swimming pool, walking in the village… Ubud is a small town in the rice fields and surrounded by lush valleys, which gained its importance with the arrival of foreign artists and intellectuals in the 20th century. A must-see during your trip to Bali. Ubud is also the artistic center of Bali (dance, music, theater, painting, sculpture, puppets) but also the culinary center, you will find the best restaurants on the island there!
Whenever you wish during the day, a one-hour massage is planned in your boutique hotel!

Day 9: Ubud

Breakfast. Departure for a trek in the heart of nature, near the Ayung river with pretty waterfalls as a backdrop. Departure from your hotel by car, then the hike begins from the guide’s village. Despite modernization and the arrival of tourism, Bali has managed to preserve virgin places. Only a privileged few will have the chance to discover them. This day will be a unique opportunity to share a meal with Agung, your guide, and his family. You don’t eat spicy, are you vegetarian? No worries, Agung will adapt its cuisine according to your wishes. Bring good shoes and a swimsuit.
Night at RETREAT MATHIS.

Day 10: Ubud – Sidemen

Breakfast.
Road to Sidemen in the east of the island. This small village is located in one of the most beautiful regions of Bali, offering breathtaking panoramas. Sidemen is a piece of paradise from which a deep and beneficial tranquility exudes, a piece of nature in its purest state, which will only seduce you.
Built on the southern flank of Mount Agung at approximately 1000 meters above sea level, Besakih offers a breathtaking view of the south of the island.
You will then take the road to Tirta Gangga also called The Water Palace. The latter is located in the middle of the rice fields. It is a spectacular site, a place of well-being in the image of Balinese culture. This site was built in 1946 by the last Raja of Karangasem, inspired by the gardens of the Château de Versailles after a visit to France.
Drive to your hotel. Night at WAPA DI UME.

Day 11: Sidemen

Breakfast at the hotel and free day to relax.

Day 12: Sidemen – Amed

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to reach Amed for the last leg of your trip. A unique setting awaits you! Isolated, far from everything, only nature will be part of the trip for these last unforgettable days!
A half-day of snorkeling is planned to discover the seabed of the east coast!

Day 13: Amed

Breakfast and free day to enjoy moments of relaxation in the heart of your private swimming pool.

Day 14: Amed – Denpasar

Breakfast at the hotel. Free day. Then transfer to reach the airport.
