Stages: ADDIS ABABA – DIRE DAWA – HARAR – ADDIS ABABA

Day 1: ADDIS ABABA / DIRE DAWA
Transfer to the airport and flight to Dire Dawa.
Transfer. Installation at the hotel.
Dinner and night at the Samrat 4* hotel
Day 2: SAY DAWA / HARAR / SAY DAWA
City tour of Dire Dawa, the second city in the country; discovery on foot of the European district of Kezira built in the colonial style; the station, the Saint Augustin church, the Alliance Française, the former palace of Haile Selassié, the Saint Mikael Orthodox church….. Road to Harar (50 km).
Discovery on foot of the alleys of the old town (“Jugol”), apothecary houses, Indian merchants, marabout tombs and the market. We will also visit the “Arthur Rimbaud house” where he never resided, but which is a very beautiful example of Harari architecture and the Harari museum.
In the evening, we can attend the “meal” of the hyenas, which surround the city…
Return to Dire Dawa.

Day 3: DIRE DAWA / AWASH PARK Departure to reach the Awash national park, the oldest in Ethiopia, passing through the Harargue plateau. The landscape surrounded by mountains peaking at more than 3,000 m is absolutely beautiful.
Continuation towards the west, along the Rift Valley to the savannah of the Awash region. Crossing the Illala Sala plain to observe oryx, kudu, dick-dick and shadowy gazelles. The savannah landscapes are followed by a superb mountain road which crosses the Chercher and Arba Gugu mountains.
Lunch en route in a local restaurant.
Arrival in Awash, and first visit to the park covers an area of 756km², and is the refuge of many mammals: Oryx, Kudu, Gazelle, DikDik. There are 393 species of birds there.

Day 4: AWASH PARK / ADDIS-ABABEA / PARIS
The Awash River represents the southern border of the park and forms a powerful waterfall, adjacent to a canyon. On foot, discover the falls which feed natural swimming pools which make this place a landmark for admiring birds and crocodiles.
Second safari in the park.
Continue to Addis. Lunch in Nazret. Arrival in Addis.
Last shopping and dinner in town.
Traditional dinner show, transfer to the airport and final transfer to the airport and flight to Paris.
