Description: Hiking tour in Uzbekistan for 15 days / 14 nights from 1870 euros.
Day 1: Tashkent
Arrival in Tashkent in the morning. Welcome at the airport by the Uzbek-French speaking guide and transfer to the hotel. Installation and breakfast. Visit to Tashkent.
Day 2: Tashkent – Zamin nature reserve and National Park (240 km)
Departure to the Zamin Nature Reserve and National Park which is located in the Pamir Mountains. 150 km east of Samarkand on the northern slope of the western part of Mount Turkestan, foothills of the Pamir-Alai, are the Zamin National Park and reserve. It is one of the oldest protected areas in Uzbekistan. The national park is ideal for ecotourism, it is no wonder that the National Park is the candidate for the list of UNESCO World Heritage Natural Site.
Arrival and bivouac setup. Walk in the mountains. Dinner. Night in the tent.
Day 3: Day of hiking (4-5 hours of walking – 300 m elevation gain)
Departure for hiking in the reserve and in the park and discovery of magnificent landscapes, juniper forest, waterfalls. Picnic lunch. In the evening return to the bivouac. Dinner and night in the tent.
Day 4: Zamin – Samarkand (150 km)
Transfer to Samarkand. Arrival and installation at the hotel. Visit to Samarkand. Lunch and dinner in town and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Samarkand
Continuation of the visit to Samarkand. Lunch and dinner in town and overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Samarkand – Shakhrisabz – Ayaqchi Village (150 km)
Departure for the hometown of Timur (Tamerlane). Visit the city of Shakhrisabz. Lunch and departure to the Ayaqchi mountain village. Arrival and settling in with the locals.
Day 7: Day of hiking (5-6 hours of walking – 400 m elevation gain)
5-6 hour hike in the Zerafshan Mountains, Pamir foothills. Discovery of beautiful mountain landscapes. Picnic lunch. Return to the locals. Dinner and night at a local’s home.
Day 8: Ayaqchi village – Bukhara (280 km)
Transfer to Bukhara. Lunch on the road. Arrival and installation at the hotel. First discovery of the city. Dinner in town and overnight at the hotel.
Day 9: Bukhara
Visit to Bukhara. Night at the hotel.
Day 10: Bukhara – Yurt camp (220 km)
Departure from Bukhara to the yurt camp located in the Kizil Koum desert (red sand). On the road visit rock engravings. Lunch on the way. Arrival and installation in the yurts. Camel ride. Dinner and night in the yurt.
Day 11: Yurt camp – Aydarkoul lake – Nourata – Sentob village
After breakfast, departure to Lake Aydarkoul, walk by the lake and swimming depending on the season. Picnic and departure to the mountain village Sentob. On the road visit the town of Nourata. Arrival and settling in with the locals. Dinner and night at a local’s home.
Day 12: Sentob – Fozilmon Lake – Sentob (6-7 hours of walking – 500 m elevation gain)
Hike towards the Fozilmon mountain lake. Discovery of magnificent landscapes and Lake Fozilmon. Picnic by the lake. Return to the village. Dinner and night at a local’s home.
Day 13: Sentob – Majrum village – Hayat village (4-5 hours walk – 300 m elevation gain)
Departure to Hayat village via Majrum village. On the road visit the Nourata Nature Reserve to see the century-old trees. Arrival at the Hayat village and accommodation with the locals. You will discover wild mouflons who live in the protected reserve near the village. Dinner and night at a local’s home.
Day 14: Village Hayat – Tashkent (240 km)
Departure for Tashkent. Arrival and installation at the hotel. Continuation of the visit to Tashkent. Dinner in town and overnight at the hotel.
Day 15: Tashkent – ​​Europe
Transfer to the airport and flight to Europe.
