Rencontrez Vanthai :
The 5 years of studying tourism in France allowed me to understand new trends in travel. My academic and professional background is very focused on tourism. After gaining solid experience within different French agencies (Comptoir des Voyages, Ictus Voyages, Atalante), I returned to Vietnam in 2011 to take over my family travel agency created by my father. My passion for creating personalized trips was born during my numerous backpacking trips across around thirty countries (Europe, Asia, North Africa, Middle East). I realized that the true traveler takes his time for human encounters and authentic discoveries. These are precisely the fundamental values that I propose in each of my circuits.
Vietnam for you:
In addition to its preserved side, Vietnam is a destination that has incredible diversity in terms of culture and landscape. In the North, there are rice terraces cultivated by minority ethnic groups and Halong Bay. The Center is characterized by a rich historical heritage with the former imperial capital of Hue and the old town of Hoi An. The South differs from the rest of the country with the arroyos of the Mekong Delta, the heavenly beaches of Mui Ne, Nha Trang , Phu Quoc, and bustling Saigon. In this country, meetings are spontaneous and you can easily get help from the local population even if you don’t speak a word of the language.
Advice as a local specialist:
Vietnam is an easy country to visit, even as a solo traveler. Given the diversity of the country, don’t try to do everything, especially if you have a tight budget and time. Either we go to stopover cities like Hanoi, Hue, Hoi An, Saigon, or we dedicate around ten days to discover the northern Vietnamese loop or the south. The best time to visit Vietnam is either March-April or October-November. These are the periods when it rarely rains and the sun is out. For the cities, you absolutely must visit Hanoi, Hue, Hoi An. For the landscapes, Halong Bay is a must, then the rice terraces of Sapa, the floating markets of the Mekong Delta and the mountains of North Vietnam. The best dish to taste is Bún Chả (grilled pork vermicelli). Family value around ancestor worship. It is the basis of all spiritual practice in Vietnam and the unifying thread that explains why the Vietnamese community is united.
